Help & getting started

Everything you need to get Frequent Flyer Pro boarded and watching your fares. Boarding takes less than five minutes, and a human answers every support email.

Getting started in three steps

  • Add to Chrome. Install free from the Chrome Web Store, then click the puzzle piece in your toolbar and pin Frequent Flyer Pro so it's always one click away.
  • Sign in and connect. Open the panel, sign in with Google, and follow the boarding process. It opens three of your Qantas account pages one at a time and reads what's on screen. You log in to qantas.com yourself, once.
  • Add your flights. Drop your Qantas e-ticket PDF onto the panel, or forward your booking confirmation email to flights@frequentflyerpro.com. From then on we check every fare daily.

Do I give you my Qantas password?

No, never. During boarding the extension opens your Qantas pages in normal browser tabs and you log in to qantas.com exactly as you always do. We simply read what is visible on the page once you're in: your name, tier, points balance, Status Credits and activity statement. Your password is never seen, never asked for, and never stored.

The three pages we read are My Account, Status Activity and Points Activity. Each tab closes itself when it's been read.

Adding your flights

  • Drop the PDF. Drag your Qantas e-ticket PDF onto the panel's + Add flight area. Route, dates, cabin, fare type and price are extracted automatically. Multiple PDFs import as a batch.
  • Forward the email. Send your Qantas confirmation email to flights@frequentflyerpro.com from the email address you signed in with. We pull out the flight details, no typing required.

Once a booking is in, we check its fare daily and chart the price history on the booking.

Price alerts and rebooking

Every tracked booking is checked daily, Economy through First. You get one alert when a fare drops by more than the cancellation fee, with the saving already netted out. You can raise or lower the alert threshold on any booking from its settings cog.

When a drop lands, the assistant walks the rebooking in the safe order: secure the new fare first, then cancel the old one.

Why does the extension ask for these permissions?

  • Access to qantas.com - to read fares and the account pages you open. We only run on Qantas pages.
  • Notifications - the one alert when a price drop beats the fees.
  • Cookies and site data - to connect invite links from frequentflyerpro.com to your account.
  • Background automation - while a fare check runs, Chrome may show a yellow "Frequent Flyer Pro started debugging this browser" bar on the checking tab. That's the daily price check doing its rounds; it disappears when the check finishes.

I can't see the panel

Click the Frequent Flyer Pro icon in your Chrome toolbar and the side panel opens next to the page. If the icon is hidden, click the puzzle piece, find Frequent Flyer Pro, and hit the pin. You can also open it from any qantas.com page when the get-started card appears.

Leagues and invites

Every account gets a personal invite link and a code like FFP-XXXX, found under Achievements. Friends who join with your link land straight in a private league with you, where you compete on savings, Status Credits, badges and airports visited.
